FRIENDS OF ROOKERY BAY
This web site is sponsored by the Friends of Rookery Bay. Established in 1987, the Friends of Rookery Bay, Inc. (FORB) was formed to enlist support for the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve's goals and programs, raise additional funds, recruit volunteers, sponsor special events and aid staff in implementing the Reserve's management plan.
MEMBERSHIP
As a FORB member, you will recieve the Rookery Bay Review quarterly newsletter, updates on upcoming activities and exciting volunteer opportnities. Your membership fee assists the Reserve in meeting the many challenges faced by coastal resource mangers. Critical tasks where funding is important include water quality research, biological monitoring, control of invasive exotic plants and animals and community outreach activities for local schools.
The organization is registered as a 501-C-3 nonprofit citizen support organization, and aids RBNERR through tax-deductible donations.
