Florida Community Input Workshops Draw 170 Participants

To receive input on the second Gulf of Mexico Alliance Governors' Action Plan, the Florida Alliance Team hosted community input workshops in Naples, Sarasota, Tampa, and Apalachicola. Feedback was gathered from over 170 participants on new action items, and was forwarded to the Alliance Management Team for consideration in the final draft of Action Plan II in early 2009. Participants represented local businesses, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and small community groups.

The other Gulf States gathered input online through the use of surveys and public comments. This feedback was also forwarded to the AMT for consideration in the Action Plan II.
